Kjersti is an Attorney-at-law, head of the legal department and partner at Acapo.

Kjersti has great interest in how companies can exploit their intellectual property, and she gives strategic advice to Norwegian and international companies with respect to protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.

Kjersti has worked continuously with intellectual property law since 1997. Through her work she is daily in contact with issues pertaining to trademarks, patents, industrial designs or copyright, as well as issues regarding marketing law and unfair competition. Her area of work covers, i.a. advice to Norwegian and foreign companies regarding registration of trademarks and industrial design, advice in legal disputes, both towards administrative bodies and the courts.  Kjersti has extensive experience in drafting and revising contracts in the area of intellectual property. Typical contracts with which she works are licensing agreements, joint venture agreements, development agreements, and co-existence agreements connected to trademarks.

From 1997 to 2005 Kjersti worked in the consulting firm Actio-Lassen AS.  In that firm she worked as legal advisor and lawyer, and she was the general manager in the period 2003 – 2005.

Kjersti has a law degree from the University of Bergen, Norway.

Kjersti is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association, Association for Norwegian IP advisors, International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI) and Licensing Executive Society (LES).  In addition, she is doing volunteer work for the International Trademark Association (INTA).

Kjersti’s working languages are Norwegian and English.
